In my last post, I was recently unemployed having been made redundant from my job of nearly 5 years, after 4 months of furlough. Times was hard and I was pretty down about the whole situation, and to be honest I didn’t expect to be out of work for as long as I was. It took about 12 weeks of dedicated searching, applying and interviewing before I was offered an entry-level role, that I accepted gratefully. Things have since turned up a notch again, as I’ve just started in a completely different role, starting a new career for myself at the grand old age of 32. My husband too has started in a permanent role that gets him out of the house and driving all over the county, so things really are coming up Millhouse.
There have been so many reflective posts, videos and articles about where we are, one year into this pandemic and none the wiser, really, about when or how it’s going to end. I’m not going to add to them, but I will tell you that I just read that 46.6% of people in the UK have had at least one dose of the vaccine. There’s something to be happy about.
